As you’ll recall from Gilmore Girls of long ago, Jared starred as Dean, Rory’s (Alexis Bledel) first boyfriend. He played Rory’s dad and had an on-again-off-again thing with Lorelai, which totally ruined things with Luke.
“There had already been two Deans cast before we found him,” she says.
“But there is something about Jared.” While Bledel’s relationship with Ventimiglia was public, her romance with Padalecki remained under the radar.
